Congratulations to our new Police Chief John Foley and Assistant Chief Trevor Dzanis and welcome to our newest Patrol Officer Ken Esterline.

FOREST CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT

CHIEF JOHN FOLEY

Chief John Foley  began his career with the Forest City Police department as a  patrol officer in August 2011.  He was promoted to the rank of Sergeant when he was appointed to a full-time position by council on 1/7/2019. 

At the October 4, 2021 Council Meeting, Mayor Glinton asked Borough Council to designate Assistant Chief John Foley “Officer in Charge”. A motion was offered to appoint Asst. Chief Foley to “Officer in Charge” effective immediately and was unanimously approved. 

Upon the recommendation of Mayor Christopher Glinton at the February 7, 2022 council meeting, Councilman Bernard Scalzo offered a motion to promote Assistant Chief Foley to Chief of Police. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Tracey Lazier. A unanimous roll call vote approved the motion.

ASSISTANT CHIEF TREVOR DZANIS

Asst. Chief Dzanis was appointed to his full-time position as Assistant Chief at the February 7, 2022 Council meeting. Mayor Christopher Glinton recommended the promotion and was supported by a motion from Councilwoman Lazier and a second from Councilman DeGonzague. A unanimous roll call vote confirmed the appointment.
