BUILDING PERMITS ARE REQUIRED FOR MANY TYPES OF BUILDING PROJECTS. There is information available in the Borough office but the best thing to do is contact one of our Inspection companies to make sure that your job is not in violation of building codes. This is their specialty and they will be able to give you the best course of action to take when contemplating a project.

Please visit their websites for information on building permits. Permit applications are also available in the Borough Office. Permit applications must be reviewed by an Inspector from one of these Providers, must be submitted to the Borough with payment before permits can be issued, then work can begin.
Work may not begin until the permits have been paid for and issued by the inspector.
Occupancy permits are required for all residential rental units located in the Borough. The cost of an inspection is $60 per unit. Inspections are required when a building changes ownership and/or when there is a change in tenancy.
Permit applications are available below or can be obtained at the borough office. Once the permit is submitted to the borough with payment, a building inspector will be assigned to contact you to make an appointment for the inspection.
A dumpster permit is required if a dumpster is placed on a public road, occupies a parking space or disrupts traffic flow in any way, please see the ordinance and application below.
Permits are required for door-to-door sales within the borough. Please see the ordinance below and the application.
Please print out and complete the form below to request a handicap parking space in a residential area. The application will be reviewed by council at a public meeting and you will be notified of its approval. Signage will be provided and installed by the borough.
