Mayor Glinton met with Congressman Dan Meuser to discuss plans for Forest City and available funding for the borough.
Appointed as Mayor of Forest City Borough on July 2, 2018 following
the unexpected resignation of our previous newly elected mayor.
Mayor Glinton is a long time resident and business owner in Forest City.
He comes to the job with an extensive background in event planning
and some innovative ideas for municipal revitalization and economic growth.
Mayor Glinton is a member of the Greater Forest City Business Alliance.

Mayor Christopher Glinton, Laura Wojcik, Paul Daugevelo, Council President Nick Cost, Sharon Vannan and Jill McGraw attended the dinner held at the Hotel Anthracite in Carbondale on February 22, 2019. The Dinner was held in honor of several area businesses recognizing them for their continuing efforts to bring growth to the Greater Carbondale Area.
Several members of the Johnson College Team who were also among the honorees took time for a picture op with our own Mayor Christopher Glinton.
The evening included a complimentary cocktail hour, dinner, Award presentation , and Guest Speaker Lynn Conrad, Executive Director of the Rail-Trail Council.
The "Celebrating Progress" awards are given by the Greater Carbondale Chamber of Commerce to each business or organization that exemplify growth , progress , contributions to the community, and a strong drive for our communities to grow!
The list of those honored by the Chamber of Commerce included Pizza Guys of Carbondale, Johnson College, Rail-Trail Council of NEPA, The Hotel Anthracite and Clifford Township.

On Sunday, January 27, 2019 the owners of the newly constructed Lesjack Funeral Home and a group of local Dignitaries gathered to officially open the beautiful new addition to our Main Street. Mayor Glinton and the Forest Borough Council extend their heartfelt congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Kevin Lesjack and their family.
